  1. Le 25e Festival International de Contis se déroulera du 25 au 29 juin 2020 à Contis, dans les Landes (40).
  2. Cette Compétition a pour but de présenter et aider à faire connaître des œuvres de qualité.
  3. Elle est ouverte à tout court-métrage européen.
  4. La durée des films en DCP pourra aller jusqu’à 30 minutes.
  5. Tous les films présentés devront être obligatoirement francophones ou sous-titrés en français, et en fomat DCP (DCI professionnel compatible DOREMI) ; et idéalement en format 5.1 et sous-titrés en anglais uniquement pour les films en français.
  6. Cette compétition est réservée aux films terminés après le 1er Janvier 2019.
  7. Votre inscription en ligne devra être faite avant le 15 avril 2020.
  8. Présélection : les films présentés à la Compétition seront soumis à une présélection et devront parvenir (s’ils ne sont pas disponibles à l’Agence du court-métrage) par lien Vimeo ou Youtube.
  9. La sélection définitive sera annoncée aux réalisateurs et à l’Agence du court-métrage fin Mai 2020.
  10. En acceptant le concours, et en cas de sélection pour la compétition, les réalisateurs s’engagent à faire parvenir au Festival une copie du film en parfait état, en dcp physique (les dcp dématérialisés ne seront pas acceptés).
  11. Les films sélectionnés partiront de l’Agence du court-métrage le vendredi 29 mai, ou devront parvenir au plus tard le 5 Juin 2020 au Festival.
  12. Le Festival prend à sa charge le transport des films qui partiront de l’Agence. En cas d’envoi individuel, le coût du transport sera à la charge de l’expéditeur.
  13. Les participants cèdent au Festival, sans contrepartie, le droit de reproduction des photographies ou éventuellement des extraits de moins de trois minutes des films sélectionnés pour diffusion dans les publications du Festival, dans la presse, sur les chaînes TV et sur le réseau Internet.
  14. Le Festival accueille un représentant de chaque film sélectionné, pendant la durée du Festival (accréditation, repas et hébergement).
  15. Prix décernés par un jury professionnel :
    – Le Grand Prix du jury.
    – Le Prix Special du jury recevra le prix de notre partenaire Vidéo de Poche (3 jours d’étalonnage et la sortie du master pour un prochain court-métrage.).
    – Le Prix du Public sera décerné par vote du public et recevra le prix de notre partenaire Tapages & Nocturnes (soit la location offerte de matériel de prise de son pour une semaine de tournage).
    D’autres prix viendront compléter la liste.
  16. Dans le cadre des partenariats du Festival de Contis avec d’autres festivals européens, les films lauréats pourront être programmés dans ces festivals sans contrepartie.
  17. Pendant le Festival, des courts-métrages antérieurs au 1er janvier 2019, ainsi que des longs-métrages pourront être présentés hors compétition.
  18. La participation à la compétition implique l’adhésion pleine et entière au présent règlement.
  19. En cas de problème majeur indépendant de sa volonté, la direction du Festival de Contis se réserve le droit d’annuler la manifestation.

Rules for the European short film competition

  1. The 25th Contis International Festival will take place from June 25 to June 29, 2020, in the village of Contis, municipality of St Julien en Born in the region Les Landes.
  2. The aim of this competition is to present quality works and promote them.
  3. This competition is open to all European short film, in 35 mm, or in digital format. 
  4. The length of the DCP films can be up to 30 minutes. 
  5. All the films entered in the competition must either be in French or with French subtitles, and in DCP format (DCI professional – compatible with DOREMI) ; and ideally in 5.1 format and with English subtitles only for films in French.
  6. This competition is exclusively for films finished after Jan 1, 2019.
  7. Your online registration must be done before April 15, 2020. 
  8. Pre-selection: the films entered in the competition will be put to a pre-selection and, if they are not available at the Agence du Court Métrage, on Vimeo Link.
  9. The final selection will be revealed to the directors and the Agence du Court Métrage in May 2020.
  10. In accepting the competition, and in case of your selection for the competition, the Film Directors promise the Festival will receive a copy of the film in a perfect state, in physical dcp (dematerialized dcp are not accepted).
  11. The selected films will leave the Agence du Court Métrage on May 29 or reach the Festival no later than June 5, 2020.
  12. The festival will bear the cost of the return transportation of the films leaving the Agence du Court-Métrage. In case of individual mailing, the transportation cost will be for the sender.
  13. The participants grant the festival the right of reproduction of photos and/or possibly extracts shorter than three minutes of the films selected, for the distribution in festival publications, in the press, on television or on the Internet.
  14. The festival welcomes one representant of each selected film, during the time of the festival (accreditation, meals and accommodation).
  15. Awards : The Special Jury’s award will receive the “Vidéo de Poche” award. The Audience’s Award, determined by the audience’s vote, will receive the “Tapages & Nocturnes” award.

  16. As part of the Contis Festival’s partnerships with other European festivals, the winning films can be programmed in these festivals without any compensation.
  17. During the festival, short films produced before Jan 1, 2019 and full feature films can be shown “out of competition”.
  18. Participation in the competition implies full and total acceptation of the above rules.
  19. The direction of the Contis International Festival retains the right to cancel the event should any major unforeseen problems occur.
